Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham women's tennis team extended their win streak to eleven as they defeated Fairleigh Dickinson 6-1 on Hawthorn Rooney Tennis Courts Wednesday afternoon.
The Rams got off to a strong start once again, taking the doubles point as
Carina Ma and
Estelle Wong defeated Marta Ruszczynska and Shreya Pasricha 6-3 in first doubles and
Maia Balce and
Carolina Sa defeated Tatiana Eftenoiu and Liza Rachenko 6-1 in second doubles.
Fordham went on to clinch the match in singles play as
Estelle Wong defeated Tatiana Eftenoiu 6-4, 6-0 in second singles,
Mayu Sato cruised past Marta Ruszczynska 6-1, 6-1 in third singles,
Maia Balce rallied to defeat Liza Rachenko 1-6, 6-1, 10-5 in fourth singles and
Gianna Insogna bested Patricia Eftenoiu 6-2, 7-5 in fifth singles.
The Rams return to action March 31 as they travel to Pittsburgh, Pa. to face conference foe Duquesne.
