Balce Named A-10 Rookie of the Week

Newport News, Va. – Fordham freshman Maia Balce has been named Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week.

This is the first weekly honor for Balce this season. The freshman went 2-0 in her matches against Binghamton this weekend to lead Fordham to its tenth straight win. Balce defeated the Bearcats 7-5, 6-2 in fourth singles and teamed with Carolina Sa to grab a 6-3 victory in doubles play.

Balce and the Rams return to action March 29, as they host Fairleigh Dickenson on Hawthorn Rooney Courts at 3 p.m.
