Newport News, Va. – Despite playing just two games, both wins, in the past seven days, the Fordham softball team can add another Atlantic 10 weekly honor to its ever-growing list this season thanks to another terrific
Lauren Quense performance in the circle. The league announced on Monday afternoon that the senior has earned Co-Pitcher of the Week, alongside Dayton's Manda Cash. It is the fifth Pitcher of the Week award already this season for Quense through six weeks.

The Rams played a doubleheader last Tuesday in Boca Raton, Fla., the last day of the Florida Atlantic Tournament. Fordham played both Fairfield and the hosts and picked up two more victories behind excellent pitching performances to become the fastest team to 20 wins in school history.

Quense started game two against the Owls and fired her third shutout of the year, allowing just four hits and three walks in seven innings, while striking out four for her 13
th win in her 17
th start.

For the year, the senior is 13-3 with a 1.89 ERA across 17 starts and one relief appearance, with nine complete games and three shutouts, combining for two more, in 96.1 innings. She is ranked 12
th in the country in wins, 112
th in ERA, and 114
th with 61 strikeouts.

The Rams are back in action for their home opener tomorrow, Tuesday, March 21, against Hofstra at 2 p.m. at Bahoshy Field.
