Orlando, Fla. - The Fordham women's tennis team blanked Northern Iowa 7-0 Thursday afternoon to cap off a perfect spring break trip in Orlando, Florida.
The Rams got off to a good start taking the doubles point as
Carina Ma and
Estelle Wong defeated Jieke Stroobant and Astrid Santos 6-2 and
Mayu Sato and
Alexis Zobeideh beat Eve Small and Savanna Hunt 6-0 in third doubles.
Gianna Insogna and
Maia Balce fell to Gisela Kemper and Sydney Wolfe 6-4 in second doubles.
The Rams continued their hot streak in singles matches as
Carina Ma defeated Jieke Stroobant 6-0, 6-3 in first doubles,
Estelle Wong beat Astrid Sanros 6-3, 6-3 in second doubles,
Mayu Sato bested Gisela Kemper 6-1, 6-3 in third doubles,
Gianna Insogna defeated Sydney Wolfe 6-4, 6-0,
Maia Balce defeated Eve Small 6-2, 6-1 and
Destiny Grunin cruised past Savanna Hunt 6-1, 6-1.
The Rams return to action March 25 as they host Binghamton at Hawthorn/Rooney Tennis Courts.
