West Point, N.Y. – The Fordham women's tennis completed the sweep of its matches in West Point, N.Y. this weekend, defeating St. Bonaventure 6-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
The Rams started hot sweeping the doubles point as
Carina Ma and
Estelle Wong defeated Mara Martinez-Santori and Gabriella Bowe 6-1 in first doubles,
Maia Balce and
Gianna Insogna defeated Clara Herberts and Kahlei Reisinger 6-1 in second doubles and
Mayu Sato and
Alexis Zobeideh beat Francesca Chin and Nicole Kozinski 6-1 in third doubles.
The Rams continued their winning ways in singles play as
Carina Ma defeated Mara Marinez Santori 3-6, 6-4, 10-8 in first singles,
Estelle Wong beat Gabriella Bowe 6-0, 6-2 in second singles,
Maia Balce defeated Clara Herberts 6-2, 6-4 in third singles,
Mayu Sato defeated Dominique Mortier 6-1, 6-4 in fourth singles and
Gianna Insogna bested Kahlei Reisinger 6-0, 6-2 in fifth singles.
Destiny Grunin lost a close match with Lauren Doversola 6-2, 1-6, 6-4 in sixth singles.
The Rams will return to West Point on Friday March 3
rd to take on Southeastern Louisiana University.
