Fairfax, Va. - The 2017 Atlantic 10 Championship has come to a close at George Mason's Field House with Fordham finishing in 13
th place.
Mary Kate Kenny placed fifth
in the 200 meter run.
VCU won the women's team competition with 126.83 points, followed by George Mason (107), Dayton (75), Rhode Island (74.5), Massachusetts (72), Duquesne (70.66), Richmond (62.5), Saint Joseph's (50.5), Davidson (48), La Salle (33), George Washington (24), Saint Louis (20) and Fordham (16).
Fordham scored in three events, beginning in the 800 meter run, where
Merissa Wright placed fourth overall in 2:13.63. The next scoring event for the Rams was the final of the 1,000 meter run, as
Sydney Snow placed sixth in 2:59.02, while in the 200 meter dash,
Mary Kate Kenny took fifth in an ECAC qualifying time of 25.21.

the 1,000 meter run on Sunday.
Other individual competitors included
Laurel Fisher,
Josephine Jacob-Dolan and
Blake Elwood in the mile run, where Fisher placed 12
th in a personal-best time of 5:08.44, with Jacob-Dolan placing 20
th in 5:23.91 and Elwood finishing 22
nd in 5:31.32. In the 3,000 meter run,
Angelina Grebe finished 15
th in a season-best time of 10:16.45 and
Abigail Taylor also had a season-best time, placing 21
st in 10:26.47. In the field events,
Gabriella Gavalas placed 12
th in the triple jump with a distance of 35' 8".
The last two scoring events of the day were the 4x400 and 4x800 relays. In the 4x800, Snow,
Shanna Heaney,
Kaia Corthell and Wright placed seventh in 9:14.88 and in the 4x400,
Nkeka Pinheiro, Kenny,
Leah Hickey and
Aidan Moroz took seventh in a time of 3:55.74.
