Track & Field Runs at Fastrack Invite

Results

New York, N.Y. – Members of the Fordham men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Fastrack National Invite on Friday.
 
Fordham was led by Gabriella Gavalas who posted the only top-ten finishes for the Rams finishing fifth in the long jump at a season-best 5.24m and 10th in the triple jump at 11.02m.
 
Also in action in the women's competition, Aidan Moroz finished 21st in the 400 meter dash in a season-best time of 59.66. Moroz was followed by Leah Hickey (32nd - 1:01.37) and Gabrielle Schrieb (36th – 1:02.33).  Laura Jaeger finished 48th in the 200 meter run in a season-best time of 26.44. The Rams had a pack of competitors in the mile run, led by Sydney Snow who finished in 38th place with a time of 5:02.91, followed by Angelina Grebe (42nd – 5:06.90), Shanna Heaney (49th – 5:12.49), Laurel Fisher (55th – 5:15.68), Abigail Taylor (58th – 5:19.28), Josephine Jacob-Dolan (61st – 5:21.56), Blake Elwood (62nd – 5:25.92) and Kelsey Coppinger (63rd – 5:33.44).  Snow, Grebe and Fisher's times were all season-bests.  In the 3,000 meter run, Isabel Huelskamp finished 42nd in a time of 10:45.20 followed by Brianne Roche (45th – 10:57.29 and Kieran Hanrahan (46th – 10:58.85).

On the men's side the Rams were led by Ryan Riviere who finished eight in the pole vault, clearing a season best 4.30m.

Also competing for Fordham, Nik O'Brien finished 30th in the 3,000 meter run in a season best time of 8:40.14 and Ryan Kutch and Jake Duckworth posted top-30 finishes in the mile finishing 28th and 30th with times of 4:18.28 and 4:18.92, respectively.  The Rams had several competitors in the 800 meter run, led by Sean Phillips who finished 24th in a season-best time of 1:56.22 followed by a season-best from Fritz Heinrich (41st – 1:57.59), Devin Rocks (44th - 1:57.92), Sean Sullivan (51st – 1:59.35), Patrick Dineen (53rd – 1:59.70), Matthew Roma (59th – 2:00.81), Ryan McGann (61st – 2:02.49), Michael Campbell (62nd – 2:02.58) and Jordan Milite (63rd – 2:03.01). In the 400 meter run, Peter Strom finished 43rd with a time of 54.29, followed by Jeremy Milite who finished 44th with a time of 56.87.
 
Three Fordham relay teams will be in action tomorrow at the Milrose Games at The Armory.
