Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University men's basketball Rams continue their 2017-2018 season, the 115th season of varsity basketball at Rose Hill, by hosting the St. Francis College Terriers in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Saturday, December 9, at 3:00 p.m. following a women's game where the Rams will host the Iona College Gaels at 1:00 p.m.
Saturday will be Star Wars Day at the Rose Hill Gym as Star Wars characters will be in attendance to take photos with fans. Darth Vader masks will be given out to the first 500 fans at the women's game while light sabers will be given out to students at the men's game and Star Wars trivia will be on tap throughout the day.

The game is also part of the SAAC Toy Drive as all fans are asked to bring a toy that will be delivered to the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital by members of Fordham SAAC. Place your donation by the ticket booth in the McGinley lobby prior to entering the gymnasium.

Fordham enters the game with a 3-5 record after a 47-45 loss to Harvard in the Rose Hill Gym on Wednesday night while St. Francis is 2-6 after a 71-53 loss at Notre Dame last Sunday.
Saturday afternoon's contest will be the 35th meeting between the two schools on the hardwood with the Rams leading the all-time series, 23-11. The Rams have taken the past two meetings, including a 76-49 win on December 26, 2006 in the Rose Hill Gym in the last meeting between the two schools.
Notes
• Senior guard
Will Tavares, who leads the Rams in scoring (17.1 ppg), has scored in double figures in each of the eight games this year.
• Junior guard
Joseph Chartouny notched his fifth career double-double in the win over Maine last Saturday with 21 points and eleven rebounds, matching his career-high for rebounds.
• Chartouny leads the Atlantic 10 and is second in the NCAA this year in steals/game with 3.88.
• The 2017-2018 Rams lead the Atlantic 10 in scoring defense (63.3) and three-point field goal percentage defense (.268).
• Fordham also leads the league and ranks fourth in the NCAA in steals with 90 (11.3/game).
• Over the past three years, Fordham is 22-7 in non-conference home games (5-2 in 2014-2015, 9-0 in 2015-2016 year and 5-2 last year).
• Overall, the Rams are 25-17 at home over the past two years.
