Bronx, N.Y. – The Atlantic 10 announced its weekly award winners this afternoon and Fordham women's basketball's redshirt freshman guard
Bre Cavanaugh was named Rookie of the Week, her second honor this season. Cavanaugh led the Rams in scoring in each of their two victories this past week, at St. John's in double overtime and at home against Bucknell, with two 20-point performances.

Cavanaugh has scored in double figures in all 10 games to begin her Fordham career and has been asked to log heavy minutes, currently at 37.7 per game, which ranks 16
th in the country. The Allamuchy, N.J. native enjoyed two of her best performances of the young season this past week, leading Fordham past St. John's last Tuesday night on the road, scoring nine of her team-high 20 points in the two overtime periods, and then setting a new season-high 22 points on an efficient 8-of-13 shooting from the field, all coming after the first quarter. The redshirt freshman hit two three-pointers in each contest and tallied three total steals, at least one in each.
Cavanaugh was also named the Metropolitan Basketball Writers' Association Division I Player of the Week and College Sports Madness' A-10 Player of the Week.
For the week, Cavanaugh averaged 21.0 points on 48.4% shooting, 44.4% from behind the arc, and 8-of-12 (66.7%) from the line, to go with 5.5 rebounds, across 43.0 minutes per contest.
