Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham University freshman guard/forward
Ivan Raut (Kotor, Montenegro/JU Gimnazija Kotor) was named Atlantic 10 men's basketball rookie of the week it was announced by the league today. It is the first weekly award for Raut this year.

In a 75-63 loss at Rutgers last Tuesday, Raut led all scorers with 19 points, shooting 6-for-12 from the field, including 5-for-10 from behind the arc. He also added seven rebounds, one assist and one steal and converted two four-point plays in a 23-second span in the first half, the second of which pulled the Rams within two, 28-26, with four minutes left in the half.

On the season, Raut, who has started all ten games, is averaging 8.6 ppg and 2.7 rpg. He leads the Rams with 20 made three-pointers this year and also has nine assists and ten steals.

Fordham (4-6) returns to action on Thursday, December 21, as they host the Florida A&M University Rattlers in the Rose Hill Gym at 7:00 p.m.
