Massimiliano Mirarchi Named ACWPC All-America Honorable Mention

Mirarchi Earns All-America Honors for the Fourth Straight Season

Bridgeport, Pa. – (December 15, 2017) - The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced the selection of 48 student-athletes to the 2017 ACWPC Division I Men's Varsity All-America Team.  Among those honored was Fordham's Massimiliano Mirarchi (Rome, Italy), who received Honorable Mention honors.
 
Mirarchi is the first Ram to earn ACWPC All-America accolades since 2015, when Patrick Lenihan and Andrew Gonzalez both garnered Honorable Mention honors.
 
This is also Mirarchi's fourth major award of the year, as he was named the MAWPC East Rookie of the Year, First Team All-MAWPC East, and to the MAWPC All-Championship First Team.23842
 
Mirarchi, a three-time All-American at the Division III level over the past three years, was as advertised, leading the Rams in goals (91), points (128), field blocks (17), ejections drawn (55) and extra-man goals with 28 this season.  He also finished second on the team in assists (37) and third on the team in steals (55).  He received MAWPC Player of the Week once during the year, and ranked among the all-time single season leaders in goals at Fordham.
