Newport News, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly track & field awards on Tuesday, with Fordham's
Mary Kate Caucci named Women's Field Performer of the week and
Kathryn Kelly earning Rookie of the Week honors.
It is the first weekly honor for Caucci and Kelly this season.
Caucci did it all at the Bill Ward Invitational last week as she finished third in the long jump with a jump of 4.99m, while also taking third in the 60m hurdles in 9.94 seconds, 12th in the 60m dash in 8.84 seconds and 15th in the 200m dash in 28.56 seconds.
Kelly continued to impress in the start of her rookie campaign with the Rams, taking second in the 60m dash in 7.84 seconds, while also placing fifth in the 200m dash in 26.14 seconds.
Caucci, Kelly and the Rams will have a short break before returning to action January 5 at the Seahawk Invitational, hosted by Wagner.
