Florence, Ala. - (November 9, 2017) - The 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Teams have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Among the District 1 honorees is Fordham senior midfielder
Eric Ohlendorf. He is the first men's soccer player to earn Academic All-District honors since
Jannik Loebe in 2015.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be announced in December.
Just a day after receiving Atlantic 10 All-Academic honors for the second straight year, Ohlendorf picks up his first regional accolade. A Biological Sciences major with a minor in Psychology, he has a 3.82 GPA, and a three-year member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, as well as a member of Fordham's Dean's List. This season, he has appeared in 15 games in 2017, making eight starts and recording one assist, which was against Saint Louis.
