Newport News, Va. – (November 6, 2017) - The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its final weekly men's soccer awards
on Monday with Fordham junior goalkeeper
Rashid Nuhu (Accra, Ghana) earning Defensive Player of the Week honors for the fourth time this season. This is Nuhu's seventh career weekly honor.
As only regular season games were considered for this week's awards, Nuhu came up big in the Rams' season finale against then-#25 Massachusetts. He made a season-high eight saves in a 3-2 upset win, handing the Minutemen their first home loss of the season.
Nuhu and the rest of the Fordham men's soccer team will have UMass back on their mind this week, as the Rams and Minutemen will match-up in the 2017 Atlantic 10 Championship semifinal held at Baujan Field in Dayton, Ohio, on Friday, November 10
th, beginning at 4:30 PM. The winner then advances to the conference championship match on Sunday.
