United Soccer Coaches Release
Kansas City, Mo. - United Soccer Coaches, formerly the National Soccer Coaches Association of America or NSCAA, has announced its Team Academic Award winners for the 2016-17 academic year. Among those honored were both the Fordham men's and women's soccer teams for the eighth consecutive year.
Fordham was one of 195 schools to have both of its soccer programs receive the Team Academic Award. A total of 813 collegiate soccer teams (282 men, 531 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the Team Academic Award for the 2016-17 academic year.
From a conference perspective, 14 Atlantic 10 soccer programs were honored, as well as four institutions having both been listed. Fordham had the top GPA among Atlantic 10 women's soccer teams, while the men's team was second among Atlantic 10 programs.
