Andrew Mevis was named Corvias Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week, it was announced today. It is the first weekly honor for Mevis.

In a 17-9 Patriot League win at Georgetown on Saturday, Mevis accounted for nine of the 17 Fordham points with three field goals. He connected on a 30-yard field goal to give the Rams a 3-0 lead midway through the first quarter and then made it 6-0 with a 31-yarder early in the second quarter. He closed out the day's scoring with another 31-yard field goal with 9:18 remaining to provide the Rams with the 17-9 winning margin.

Mevis also punted eight times for 324 yards (40.5 yards/punt), with three of his kicks being downed inside the Georgetown 20, and kicked off five times for 307 yards (61.4 yards/kick) with two touchbacks.

On the year, Mevis has made good on five of his seven field goal attempts and all five of his PATs. He is also averaging 36.8 yards per punt with 12 of his 45 punts being downed inside the opponents 20.

The Rams (2-6, 1-2) return to action on Saturday, October 28, as they host Lehigh University in a Patriot League game on Jack Coffey Field at 1:00 p.m.
