Final Results
Bethlehem, Pa – The Fordham golf team ended its fall season on a high note at the Lehigh Inviational, held at Saucon Valley Country Club, where the team vaulted up the leaderboard on the final round to finish third in the team standings while placing two individuals in the top five.
Fordham was led by a pair of seniors in
Matt Schiller and
Joseph Trim who finished tied for third and tied for fifth respectively. Schiller followed his opening round 73 with a 71 in round two for a two-day total of 144, while Trim fired a three-under par 69 in the final round to go with a 76 on day one for an overall total of 145.
Also competing for Fordham were
Josh Madarang who shot rounds of 79-75 for a two-day total of 154 to tie for 26
th place,
Tomas Nieves shaved six strokes off his opening round for a second round 76 to finish with an overall total of 159, good for a tie for 50
th and
James Mongey fired a pair of 80's to finish in a tie for 54
th place.
Lehigh won the team title with an impressive five-over par total score of 581, followed by Bucknell (597), Fordham (599), Lafayette (613), St. John's (613), Siena (613), Monmouth (613), Rider (614), Iona (616), Hofstra (617), Fairfield (624) and Colgate (625).
