Round 1 Results
Bethlehem, Pa. – The Fordham golf team opened play at its last event of the fall season Friday at the Lehigh Invitational, hosted by Lehigh at the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club, where the Rams sit in eighth place after day one.
Senior
Matt Schiller led the way for the Rams, firing an opening round 73 to put himself in a tie for second place after round one. Also in action for Fordham were
Joseph Trim who shot a 76 and is tied for 16
th place,
Josh Madarang fired a 79, good for a tie for 41
st,
James Mongey shot 80 and is tied for 47
th place and
Tomas Nieves shot 83 and is currently in a tie for 62
nd place.
The host Mountain Hawks are in first place in the team standings after day one with a total score of 295, followed by Hofstra (303), Bucknell (303), St. John's (304), Rider (304), Monmouth (305), Iona (306), Fordham (308), Lafayette (311), Siena (311), Colgate (314) and Farifield (317).
The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Saturday.
