Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham men's tennis team hosted the Fordham Four-In-The-Fall this weekend with
Fabian Hansch Mauritzson and
Lutwin de Macar winning the A doubles final.
Mauritzson and de Macar opened play defeating Queens College's Gabriel Mendez and Lucas Martinez 6-3 in the quarterfinals and Wagners Hans Ohrner and Ilya Kneppelhout 6-3 in the semifinals before besting Adam Chan and Andris Gudins 6-3 in the finals.
In the B doubles draw,
Max Green and
Allen Thornes defeated Wagner's Siddharth Anand and Patricio Pons 6-4 in the quarterfinals and Fordham's
Alex Makatsaria and
Gabriel Mashaal 7-5 in the semifinals before falling to Wagner's Charlton Boyd and Allen Wang 6-4 in the finals.
In the consolation B singles bracket,
Finn Kemper defeated Queens College's Richard Sec 8-6 in the semifinals and Allen Wang 8-1 in the finals.
In the consolation A doubles bracket, Kemper and
Jeremy Chung defeated Wagner's Eric Poland and Dale Sandy 6-2 in the semifinals and Fairleigh Dickinson's Moric Budinszky and Billy Bourne 6-4 in the finals.
Joseph Kavaloski and
Steven Duka defeated teammates Durkovic and Posillico 7-6 (6) in the semifinals before falling to Niclas Pietsch and Miki Nobuzawa 6-0 in the finals.
The Rams return to action October 18-22 at the ITA Northeast Championship in New Haven, Connecticut.
