Newport News, Va. – Fordham senior
James Mongey has been named the Atlantic 10 Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Friday.
This is the second weekly honor for Mongey this season.
Mongey continued his stellar play this fall season at the Bucknell Invitational, helping Fordham place third as a team. He fired a 68 in round two to go with his 69 on day one to set a program record for a two-round total of 137, good for a third place finish overall and besting the previous total of 139, set by Jason Del Rosso in 2009.
The Rams return to action Friday, October 20 at the Lehigh Invitational, hosted by Lehigh at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa.
