Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham University football Rams continue their 2017 Patriot League season, the 117th varsity season at Rose Hill, by traveling to Hamilton, N.Y., to face the Colgate University Raiders in Andy Kerr Stadium on Saturday, October 14, at 12:00 p.m.

Fordham enters the game with a 1-5 overall record, 0-1 in the Patriot League, after a 14-10 loss at Lafayette College last Saturday while Colgate is 2-4, 0-1 in the Patriot League, following a 41-38 league loss to Lehigh in Hamilton last week.

This will be the 29th meeting between Fordham and Colgate on the gridiron with the Raiders lead the all-time series, which started in 1989, 21-7. The Rams have taken three of the past four meetings, including a 24-20 win on Jack Coffey Field last November October as Kevin Anderson completed 27 of 42 passes for 263 yards and three touchdowns.

A few notes on the game:

Senior running back Chase Edmonds has amassed a school record 5,561 rushing yards to date. He needs just 61 more yards to break Jordan Scott's Patriot League career record of 5,621, set from 2005-2008.

Edmonds also owns the Fordham and Patriot League career touchdown (70) and career rushing touchdown (63) records.

Graduate student quarterback Kevin Anderson connected with Austin Longi on a 12-yard scoring strike at Lafayette on October 7, his 70th career touchdown pass, a new school record. He surpassed the former record of 69 set by John Skelton (2006-2009). Anderson's 1,472 passing yards so far this year brings his career mark to 7,379, third best in school history.

The Fordham University football squad has not lost five straight games since the Rams lost the final three games of 2011, a streak of 67 games.

The Fordham captains for 2017 will be Manny Adeyeye, Kevin Anderson, Chase Edmonds, and Caleb Ham.

The scout team players of the week were announced following practice on Thursday: Brendan Donlon (offense for defense), Jeremy Imperati (defense for the offense) and Ben Schutsky (special teams).

No New York area football team has won more games since 2012 than Fordham, who has amassed 47 victories over that stretch. The closest collegiate competitors are Sacred Heart (35) and Rutgers (30), while the NFL's Giants and Jets have 39 and 36 wins, respectively, each.
