Mark Donadio (Mt. Sinai, N.Y./Mt. Sinai) was selected as the Atlantic 10 Baseball Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Monday.
It is Donadio's second career weekly award, having previously earned Rookie of the Week honors once as a freshman.
Donadio batted .462 (6-for-13) over four games last week, with three runs scored, two extra-base hits and two RBI. He recorded an on-base percentage of .611 and a slugging percentage of .692 for the week. His performance was highlighted with a career game on Saturday, as he tied a personal-best, going 4-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI in game one against Massachusetts. He added a hit and a walk in game two of the Saturday twinbill.
Donadio currently leads the Rams with a .289 batting average to go with 26 runs scored and 26 RBI, which are good for third and second on the team, respectively.
Donadio and the rest of the Fordham baseball team will next be in action on Friday, May 6
th, when the Rams open a three-game Atlantic 10 series against the George Washington Colonials, beginning at 6:00 PM. It'll be Little League Night, where the Rams invite all little league and youth baseball teams to the game.
