Joseph Trim recorded a one-over 73 today to help the Fordham men's golf team finish in fifth place at the 2016 Atlantic 10 Championships at the Grand Cypress Golf Club. It is Fordham's highest finish at the Atlantic 10 championships since the 2004 squad placed fourth.

In the team competition, VCU won the team title with an 18-over 882 followed by Richmond (889), Dayton (896), and George Washington (909) with Fordham just three strokes behind the Colonials in fifth place (912). The Rams were one stroke better than Rhode Island (913) with George Mason (916), La Salle (919), Saint Joseph's (932), Davidson (934) and St. Bonaventure (949) rounding out the team competition.

Leading the way for Fordham was
Matt Schiller, who carded a 79 today to bring his three-round score to 225, tying him for 14th overall, 13 strokes behind the leader, Adam Ball of VCU. He finished with six birdies at the championship.

Behind Schiller was
Joseph Trim, who carded a one-over 73 today for a three-round total of 226, tying him for 17th. Trim carded four birdies on the day to bring his total to eight in the tournament, second best on the team

James Mongey, who shot an 80 in the third round, and
Thomas Hayes, who recorded a 77 today, each finished with a three-day score of 235, tying them for 34th overall. Hayes led the Rams with nine birdies in the championships while Mongey recorded six.

Also competing for the Rams was
Oscar Cabanas, who recorded an 81 today for a three-round total of 244, good for a tie for 46th.
