Matt Schiller carded a 79 today to move into a tie for fifth overall and help the Fordham men's golf team remain in a tie for fifth in the team standings after two rounds of play at the 2016 Atlantic 10 Championships at the Grand Cypress Golf Club.

In the team competition, Dayton leads all teams with a 13-over 589 followed by VCU (590), Richmond (592), and George Washington (601) with Fordham and George Mason tied for fifth at 603, 13 shots behind the leader. Â La Salle is seventh (607) followed by Saint Joseph's (613), Rhode Island (615), Davidson (622) and St. Bonaventure (632).

Leading the way for Fordham is
Matt Schiller, who matched his one-over 73 from the first round today for a two round total of 146, tying him for fifth, three strokes behind the leader, Adam Ball of VCU. He had three birdies today to bring his two-round total to six, tied for most on the squad.

Behind Schiller is
Joseph Trim, who carded a 79 today for a two-round total of 153, tying him for 24th, while
James Mongey turned in a one-over 73 today for a two-round total of 155, tying him for 31st. Mongey has recorded five birdies so far at the championship while Trim has four.

Also competing for the Rams are
Thomas Hayes, who shot an 85 today for a two-day total of 158, tying him for 41st, and
Oscar Cabanas, who recorded a 76 today for a two-round total of 163, good for 48th. Hayes is tied for the team lead with six birdies in the championship.
