Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham University football Rams closed out their 2016 spring practice season with the annual spring game on Saturday on Jack Coffey Field.
Â
First year head coach
Andrew Breiner ran his troops through their 15th and final practice of the spring season. Though not a traditional spring game, both sides of the ball showed flashes of things to come with the defense seeming to hold the upper hand today, recording five tackles for loss, four sacks and picking off three passes.
Â
The three interceptions were recorded by
Lawrence Menyah, a one-handed grab,
Tyler Long, on a tipped ball, and
Jihaad Pretlow, with a diving catch.
Â
The day ended with red zone offense where the defense stood strong until the final play of the day, a scoring strike from
Luke Medlock to
Dan Halligan.

The Rams open the 2016 season on Saturday, September 3, as they travel to Annapolis, Maryland, to face Navy at 12:00 PM.
