Photo GalleryDay three of the 2016 Atlantic 10 Championship has concluded at the Spire Insitute in Geneva, Ohio, as the Fordham women's swimming & diving team medaled three times and scored in all six events on Friday.
The Rams currently sit in fifth place with 264 points, just two points behind Massachusetts for fourth.
Fordham kicked off the night of finals with the 400 individual medley, where junior
Megan Polaha earned the silver medal by taking second in a school record and NCAA "B" cut time of 4:16.55, betting her own 2014 record of 4:19.72. Junior
Marie Feneron also scored in the event by winning the "B" final for ninth overall in 4:22.82.
The Rams continued the medal hunt in the 100 butterfly, as after finishing second last year, senior
Shannon Lulley won this year's event with a school and pool record time of 53.82 seconds. The time was also good for an NCAA "B" cut time.
Megan Polaha took silver in the 400 IM on Friday. In the 200 freestyle event, junior
Kalena Laurent scored 15
th overall, as she clocked in at 1:52.39, while in the 100 breaststroke, senior
Anna Marshall placed 14
th in a time of 1:04.96.
The final individual event was the 100 backstroke, where junior
Morgan Fairclough grabbed sixth place in the "A" final with a time of 56.19 seconds.
The last event of the night was the 400 medley relay, where Fordham's team of Fairclough, Polaha, S. Lulley, and
Chandler Lulley took bronze in 3:44.00.
The Championship will conclude on Saturday. Preliminaries in the 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, and 200 butterfly events begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the women's three-meter dive preliminaries at 1:00 PM. The 1650 freestyle event will begin at 3:00 PM with the finals for the remaining events along with the 400 freestyle relay at 6:30 PM.
