Men’s Basketball Travels to Manhattan on Saturday

Rams look to win the Battle of the Bronx

Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University men's basketball Rams continue their 2016-2017 season, the 114th varsity season at Rose Hill, by traveling across the Bronx to face the Manhattan College Jaspers in the annual Battle of the Bronx on Saturday, December 10, at 7:00 PM in the Draddy Gymnasium.
 
The game will be streamed live on the Jasper Sports Network with Christian Heimall (p-b-p) and Brian Mahoney and Chris Williams (color) announcing and can also be heard live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and on www.wfuvsports.org with Matt Murphy (p-b-p) and James Decker (color) announcing. Fordham enters the game with a 5-5 overall record after a 90-62 loss at St. John's on Thursday night while Manhattan is 2-7 on the season after falling to Morgan State, 85-82 in double overtime, on Tuesday night in Baltimore.
 
Saturday night's contest will be the 109th meeting between Fordham and Manhattan on the hardwood with the Jaspers leading the all-time series, 56-52. The 108 games played against Manhattan are the second most for the Rams against any opponent while the 51 wins over the Jaspers are the most victories over any team for Fordham. The Rams took last year's meeting, 87-64, on November 28 in the Rose Hill Gym as Ryan Rhoomes scored 20 points and grabbed ten rebounds and Mandell Thomas added 26 points.

• The Rams lead the Atlantic 10 and are 15th in the NCAA in three-pointers attempted this this year (261).
 
• Fordham has recorded double digit steal totals in eight of the ten games this year.
