Bronx, N.Y. -- The Fordham women's basketball team has started a new youth initiative, Harry's Hustlers, presented by the Harry D. Vanderslice Memorial Fund, for local youth basketball players, teams, and groups at all women's basketball home games. The program is in honor of the late Harry Vanderslice, father of head coach
Stephanie Gaitley, and allows for "Hustlers" to attend a specific Fordham home contest in a special section behind the Rams' bench, plus additional giveaways and opportunities.
"The Harry's Hustlers program is in honor of our dad, Harry Vanderslice, who devoted his life to helping young kids learn about life through sports," Gaitley said, "His legacy lives on through his children who promote his dream everyday. 'Hustle, kids, hustle'!!"

Coach Gaitley has also announced a Holiday Coloring Contest. Print out the above PDF document, color in the picture and complete the registration form. To win, participants must print out their entry and attend one of three home games (12/10 vs. Princeton, 12/17 vs. Manhattan, or 12/22 vs. Niagara) to hand it in. Your printout will serve as a FREE ticket to the game.
There will be three grand prizes, one in each age bracket: 3-6 years old, 7-10 years old, and 11-15 years old. Note participants cannot be in high school. Each prizewinner will receive a Rams gift package. Winners will be announced during the second half of Fordham's game against Buffalo on December 29, beginning at noon. The special promotion for that game is also "Take a Kid to a Game Day"; all kids 12 and younger can attend for free!
