Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University men's basketball Rams continue their 2016-2017 season, the 114th varsity season at Rose Hill, by traveling into Manhattan to face the Rutgers University Scarlet Knights in Madison Square Garden on Sunday, December 18, at 1:00 p.m. as part of the 2016 ECAC/MSG Holiday Festival.
The game will be streamed live on the Rutgers Facebook page with Danny Breslauer (p-b-p) and Austin Johnson (color) announcing and can also be heard live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and on www.wfuvsports.org with Drew Casey (p-b-p) and Pat Costello (color) announcing. Follow the links above.
Fordham enters the game with a 5-6 overall record after a 60-53 loss at Manhattan College on December 10 while Rutgers is 10-1 on the season after defeating FDU, 82-69, on Wednesday night in Piscataway.
Sunday afternoon's contest will be the 53rd meeting between Fordham and Rutgers on the hardwood with the Rams leading the all-time series, 27-25. The Scarlet Knights have taken the past three meetings, including a 94-83 win on December 11, 2002 in Piscataway in the last meeting between the two teams.

• The game will be Fordham's 118th overall appearance at the various Madison Square Garden, the 89th at the current Garden.
• The Rams are second in the Atlantic 10 and 22nd in the NCAA in three-pointers attempted this this year (280).
• Fordham has recorded double digit steal totals in eight of the eleven games this year.
• The Rams lead the NCAA with 124 total steals in 2016-2017.
• Fordham leads the Atlantic 10 and is fifth in the NCAA in steals/game (11.3).
• The Rams are also third in the NCAA in both turnover margin (8.0) and turnovers forced (20.73/game).
