Football Game Day Central | Watch | Listen | Live Stats | Fordham Game Notes

Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham University football Rams close out their 2016 Patriot League regular season schedule, the 116th varsity season at Rose Hill, by traveling to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, to face the Bucknell University Bison in Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium on Saturday, November 19, at 12:00 p.m.

The game will be televised live on the American Sports Network (ASN), live in the New York area on SNY, and on the Patriot League Network with Mike Gleason (p-b-p) and Derrick Lewis (color) announcing  and broadcast live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and on WFUVsports.org with Drew Casey (p-b-p), Pat Costello (color) and Corey Miller (sidelines) handling the announcing chores.

Fordham enters the game with a 7-3 record, 4-1 in the Patriot League, after a 54-14 Patriot League win over Holy Cross at Yankee Stadium last Saturday while Bucknell stands at 4-6 overall this year, 3-2 in the league, following a 21-7 league win over Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., last Saturday.

This will be the 32nd meeting between Fordham and Bucknell the gridiron. The Bison lead the all-time series, which started in 1929, 18-13, but Fordham has taken the past three meetings, including a 24-16 win on Jack Coffey Field last November 7 as Kevin Anderson completed 20 of 27 passes for 296 yards and two touchdowns.

A few notes on the game:

Senior linebacker George Dawson and senior punter Joe Pavlik have appeared in every game at Fordham since arriving as freshmen in 2013 (50 games). They became the Fordham career leaders in games played in the Lehigh game, surpassing the former mark of 47, set by Javarus Dudley (2000-03) and matched by Joe Sullivan (2011-14).

The scout team players of the week were announced following practice on Thursday:  Jonah Isaac (offense for defense), Jonathan Dimon (defense for the offense) and Roddy Roche (special teams).

No New York area football team has won more games since 2012 than Fordham, who has amassed 45 victories over that stretch. The closest collegiate competitors are Sacred Heart, who has 33 wins over that period, and Rutgers with 29, while the NFL's Giants have 34 and the Jets 31.

Senior quarterback Kevin Anderson threw for 3,183 yards last year, the fourth best single season in school history, in his first year as a starter. His 2,397 passing yards so far in 2016 brings his career mark to 5,580, fifth best in school history. Anderson also threw 32 scoring strikes last year, the second best single season in Fordham history, and now has 57 for his career, third best all-time at Fordham.

With his 182 rushing yards in the Georgetown game, junior running back Chase Edmonds became the school's all-time leading rusher. He currently has 5,104 career rushing yards, second best in the history of the Patriot League. Edmonds broke the former career mark of 4,417 yards set by Kirwin Watson from 2000-03. Edmonds also owns the Fordham and Patriot League career touchdown (66) and career rushing touchdown (59) records.

Senior wide receiver Robbie Cantelli has caught 12 touchdown passes this year after having only two in his first three years at Fordham. The 12 receiving touchdowns are tied for third most in a season for the Rams.
