Kevin Anderson Named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week

Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham senior quarterback Kevin Anderson was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week as well as STATS NCAA FCS Honorable Mention Offensive Player of the week and the College Sports Madness Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced today. It is the second weekly honor of 2016 for Anderson and the sixth for the Rams.
 
In a 54-14 Patriot League win over Holy Cross at Yankee Stadium in the Ram-Crusader Cup game last Saturday, Anderson completed 28 of 34 passes for a career-high 426 yards and three touchdowns.  The 426 yards is the fifth most passing yards in a game in school history. Anderson, who completed his first ten pass attempts, threw touchdown passes of 17, 2 and 7 yards, the sixth time this year he has thrown at least tree scoring strikes in a game
 
On the season Anderson has completed 184 of 293 passes for 2,397 yards and 25 touchdowns. He leads the Patriot League and is fifth in the NCAA FCS in passing touchdowns and leads the League and is 15th in NCAA FCS in passing yards/game (266.3). Anderson also leads the league and 12th in the NCAA FCS in total offense (295.6) and is second in Patriot League and tenth in the NCAA FCS in passing efficiency (157.6).
 
Over his career, Anderson has thrown for 5,610 yards, fifth on the Fordham career passing yards list, and for 57 touchdowns, third on the career passing touchdowns list.
 
The Rams (7-3, 4-1) return to action on Saturday, November 19, as they travel to Lewisburg, Pa., to face the Bucknell University Bison in a Patriot League contest in Christy Mathewson Memorial Field at 12:00 p.m. in a game that will be televised on the American Sports Network.
