A-10 Cross Country Championships to Take Place Saturday

The Fordham cross country teams travel to Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Virginia on Saturday for the 2016 Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships.
 
Fordham is coming off an impressive performance at the Red Storm Invitational, where the men finished first in the 5K and the women took 2^nd in the 4K.
 
Both squads are looking to better their performances at the Atlantic 10 Championship.  Last year, the Fordham men finished seventh overall, while the women placed tenth.
 
Since joining the Atlantic 10 in 1995, Fordham has had six runners claim All-Conference honors. Current Ram Thomas Slattery earned All-Atlantic 10 honors last year, by placing 10^th overall, while Jonathan Annelli (7^th - 2013), Julian Saad (4^th – 2011) and Matthew Flynn (10^th – 2005) have also earned All-League honors in the men's competition.  On the women's side, Brigid Moriarty (6^th – 2009) and Claudine Kelly (3^rd – 1995) are the only two Fordham women to receive All-Conference honors.
 
Championship Saturday begins at 10:00 AM with the women's 5K race, while the men's five-mile race begins at 10:50 AM. Both races will be streammed on the A-10 Network.
