Joseph Chartouny was named third team preseason All-Atlantic 10 in a vote of the conference coaches and media it was announced today at the annual media day held at the PPG Arena, home of the 2017 Atlantic 10 men's basketball championship.

Last winter Chartouny was named the Atlantic 10 and Met Writers Rookie of the Year, averaging 11.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg and 6.2 assists/game. He led the Atlantic 10, and ranked 20th in the NCAA, in assists/game and he also led the conference in steals/game (2.2), ranking 16th in the NCAA, and was seventh in the conference assist/turnover ratio (2.1). His 161 assists on the season was a Fordham freshman record, tied for fifth all-time for a Ram in a season, while his 6.2 apg average led all NCAA Division I freshmen.

The coaches and media selected Dayton as the preseason favorite, followed closely by Rhode Island. Fordham was picked eleventh.
