Full ResultsStaten Island, N.Y. – The Fordham Track & Field teams competed in Friday's NYC Gotham Cup and, although there was no team scoring, the meet saw several indoor race debuts and career-bests for several Rams runners among their 64 competitions. Â

On the men's side, three student-athletes competed in five separate races, highlighted by
Thomas Slattery's seventh-place finish in the 1,000 meter with a time of 2:32.08. Teammates
Mike Turi (20
th – 2:35.27) and
Fritz Heinrich (21
st – 2:35.33) also competed and finished back-to-back in the official standings despite running in separate heats.

In the 400 meter dash,
Jared Benn placed highest with a 12
th-place finish in 49.93.
Louis Santelli beat his personal record with a 51.12 time, good for 41
st. One spot behind Santelli was freshman
Eddie Dehais, making his debut in the race, with a time of 51.13.

Michael Campbell finished his 800 meter run in 1:58.81 and 14
th place ahead of
Patrick Dineen (37
th – 2:02.15), making his debut in the race, and
Ryan McGann (38
th – 2:02.23), another Ram duo finishing back-to-back in the official results.
Sean Phillips set a personal record with a 4:20.58 time in the mile, good for 17
th, and was followed by
Nik O'Brien (19
th – 4:21.17) and
Devin Rocks (52
nd – 4:36.04).
Brian Cook made his indoor 3,000 meter debut and placed 19
th in 8:46.72, ahead of teammates
Jake Duckworth (26
th – 8:51.86) and
Quincy O'Connor (31
st – 9:01.11).

Ryan Riviere was the lone Ram to compete in a field event when he placed 10
th in the pole vault (13' 3.5").

On the women's side,
Angelina Grebe's debut and fifth-place finish in the 5,000 meter in 18:17.54 highlighted a solid day's worth of personal-bests and debuts.
Stephanie Leo ran in her first 3,000 meter race and placed 27
th in 10:34.20, three spots ahead of teammate
Brianne Roche, who finished 30
th in 10:43.24.

Brianna Tevnan and
Shanna Heaney raced in the mile and finished 18
th and 26
th, respectively, in 5:15.95 and 5:31.17. All three runners in the 1,000 meter,
Aidan Moroz (17
th – 3:04.99),
Brynna Harum (19
th – 3:05.16), and
Laurel Fisher (21
st – 3:07.19) were making their indoor debuts in the race.

Danielle Rowe placed 12
th in the 800 meter (2:16.80) and was followed by
Kate McCormack (15
th - 2:18.10), making her debut, and
Leah Hickey (34
th - 2:24.14).

Mary Kate Kenny was the lone Ram to participate in more than one event on the day and set a new personal record with her 26.08 time in the 200 meter dash, good for 17
th, while also matching her best 60 meter dash time of 7.99 seconds. The finish tied with several others for 33
rd overall.

The Rams will be back in action again at next weekend's Terrier Classic at Boston University after Saturday's Manhattan Invitational was cancelled due to inclement weather. Events will take place on both Friday and Saturday.
