Bronx, N.Y. – The day after getting back on track with a win over George Mason, members of the Fordham University men's basketball squad hit the books on Thursday, but not their own text books. Five Rams traveled across Fordham Road to PS 205 where they read to the local elementary students.
Dekeba Battee-Aston,
Jesse Bunting,
Jahshire Hardnett,
Brenton Petty and
Nych Smith were joined by Director of Basketball Operations Mike DePaoli at the school were they read to a very captive audience, signed autographs, answered questions and spoke of their experiences at Fordham. The trip was arranged by athletic department executive secretary
Kim Mallow.
The PS 205 students will return the favor to the Rams by attending the February 17 game against UMass and cheering the Rams on to victory!
