Yale Invitational Results
The Fordham Track & Field teams competed on back to back days this weekend, first at the Villanova Invitational at Staten Island's Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Friday afternoon and evening. Next, the Rams traveled up to New Haven, Conn. for the Yale Invitational on Saturday inside Coxe Cage.

The women's team finished fifth among nine programs on Friday, while the men earned seventh-place honors. There was no team scoring up at Yale on Saturday.

On Friday, the women benefited from excellent showings by
Shanna Heaney and
Merissa Wright in the 800 meter run (fourth and fifth, respectively, with times of 2:18.73 and 2:18.86), plus a runner-up finish by
Kate McCormack with a 5:10.23 time in the mile run.
Danielle Rowe finished 16
th in the 800 meter with a time of 2:24.39, while
Brianne Roche placed 18
th in the mile with a time of 5:30.16.

Mary Kate Kenny placed highest among Rams runners in the 200 meter dash, 17
th with a 26.38 time, before
Morgan Menzzasalma in 30
th with 26.91 and
Laura Jaeger in 47
th in 28.08. In the 400 meter,
Aidan Moroz placed 12
th (59.63) followed by
Leah Hickey (32
nd – 1:02.79) and
Kylie Farrell (37
th – 1:03.66).
Angelina Grebe placed seventh in the 3000 meter and
Clare Bollnow placed 17
th with times of 10:35.13 and 10:58.97.

Fordham's 'A' team of Rowe, Wright, Heaney, and Moroz, placed fifth in 3:57.99 in the 4x400 meter relay.
Neve Devine rounded out the women's competitions with a 11
th place finish in the high jump (1.55m).

On the men's side, Andre Guthrie started things off with a 58
th-place finish in the 200 meter dash with a 29.54 time before
Jared Benn placed sixth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 49.71. Michael Aman crossed the line 39
th in 52.68. In the 800 meter run,
Sean Phillips and
Devin Rocks finished 15
th and 26
th with times of 2:00.85 and 2:04.92, respectively.

In the mile,
Brian Cook led a trio of Rams with a 12
th-place finish in 4:27.83, ahead of
Ryan McGann (18
th – 4:31.53) and
Michael Campbell (30
th – 4:40.16).
Thomas Slattery impressed with a runner-up finish in the 3000 meter run in 8:35.91 ahead of teammates
Nik O'Brien (7
th – 8:42.45) and
Mike Turi (16
th – 9:04.11).

On Saturday, the day was highlighted by the performance of the women's and men's distance medley relay team. The women's team of McCormack, Wright, Rowe, and Heaney set a new school record in the event, clocking in at 11:50.88, good for third place and an ECAC qualifying time. The previous school record was 11:51.50, set in 2014. On the men's side, Cook, Benn, Phillips, and Slattery finished third in an IC4A qualifying time of 10:14.88.
Aside from the distance medley relays, Michael Aman finished 11th in the 200 meter dash in 23.31 seconds.
Michael Campbell placed eighth in the 800 meter dash (2:00.17). Three Rams competed in the 1000 meter:
Mike Turi finished sixth (2:36.0),
Devin Rocks placed eighth (2:38.97), and
Ryan McGann rounded out the top 10 with a time of 2:41.1.

Nik O'Brien crossed third in the mile in 4:23.53, while
Jake Duckworth placed seventh in the 3000 meter in 8:49.21.

For the women,
Mary Kate Kenny and
Laura Jaeger placed third and 12
th, respectively, in the 400 meter dash with times of 1:01.13 and 1:04.63. In the 500 meter,
Morgan Menzzasalma and
Kylie Farrell placed 11
th and 14
th, respectively, with times of 1:20.03 and 1:22.64.

Three runners competed in the 800 meter and finished in a row:
Leah Hickey,
Aidan Moroz, and
Georgeanne Siller finished sixth through eighth with respective times of 2:21.51, 2:22.98, and 2:23.25.

th in the 1000 meter before four Rams placed inside the top 13 of the mile run.
