Football Closes Camp with Scrimmage

Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham University football squad officially wrapped up camp tonight with its final scrimmage of the fall on Jack Coffey Field with both sides showing they have come a long way since camp opened on August 8 and the Rams are now ready to start preparing for the season opener on Friday, September 4 at Army West Point.
 
Here are some notes from the scrimmage:
 
Kevin Anderson completed nine of eleven passes for 127 yards and a touchdown
 
Freshman tight end Isaiah Searight led all receivers with four catches for 38 yards while Ben Johnson had two catches for 56 yards, including a 46-yard touchdown reception
 
Kendall Pearcey gained 51 yards on five carries while Joe Lisowski carried three times for 27 yards
 
Makay Redd connected on a pair of field goals, an 18-yarder and a 36-yarder
 
Punter Joe Pavlik executed a perfect coffin corner punt of 47 yards to put the ball on the one
 
Justin Vaughn, Jihaad Pretlow and Marcus Hicks all has pass deflections for the defense
 
Clayton Welsh closed the scrimmage with a 13-yard scoring strike to Dan Halligan
 
The Rams will have Wednesday off before returning to practice on Thursday
 
The Rams open the 2015 season on Friday night, September 4, as they travel to West Point to take on Army West Point at 7:00 p.m. in a game that will be televised live on the CBS Sports Network. The Fordham Athletic Development Office is also offering pregame a-la-carte packages:
 
Adult pregame reception: $55 ($60 at the door)
Child pregame reception: $30 
Round Trip Bus Transportation: $25
Parking pass: $15
 
The pregame reception will be from 5-7 p.m. on Buffalo Soldier Field.
 
The Development will also be offering bus tickets with buses running from Lincoln Center and Rose Hill.

Bus tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. Seats are extremely limited! Buses (from each location) will depart at 3 p.m. and depart West Point 25 minutes following the conclusion of the game. You will be dropped off at the same location from which you left (i.e. if you choose to leave from the Rose Hill Campus, you bus will bring you back to Rose Hill that evening).
