Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham sophomore forward Christian Sengfelder had a busy summer as he competed with the German U20 National Team at the 2015 European Championships in Italy from July 7-19 where he helped his homeland to an eleventh place finish.

Sengfelder averaged 10.4 ppg and 6.4 rpg, both team-highs, including a pair of double-doubles with 16 points and 12 rebounds in a 61-52 quarterfinals win over the Ukraine and 14 points and eleven rebounds in Germany's final contest of the championship, a 72-62 win over the Ukraine. He shot over 55 percent (39-70) from the field, including 2-for-3 from behind the arc. Sengfelder was ranked fifth among all competitors in the tournament in two-point field goal percentage, hitting 37 of 67 attempts.

Last year, Sengfelder was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team after averaging 11.7 ppg and 7.1 rpg. He ranked tenth in the Atlantic 10, and eighth among all NCAA Division I freshmen, in rebounding and also recorded 16 steals and 13 blocks while shooting over 49 percent (136-275) from the field. Sengfelder, who was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week five times in 2014-2015, was the only Ram to start all 31 games last season.
