Bronx, N.Y. - The sound of the collision of shoulder pads could be heard on Jack Coffey Field on Monday as the Fordham University football Ram had their first practice in shoulder pads, their third overall in 2015.
 
Some notes from camp:
 

• The Rams were ranked 20th in the STATS NCAA FCS preseason poll (formally the Sports Network poll) that was released on Monday.
• Honorary teammate Jonah Shainberg was at practice and spoke to the squad at the end.
• The practice ended with the offense facing a third and five at midfield. The first and second team defense held the offense while the third string offense picked up the first down.
• The Rams announced the addition of a new assistant coach as Tyler Bowen is the new offensive line coach, replacing Joel Rodriguez, who returned to his alma mater, Miami, to assume the role of  director of player development.
• Since Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation is the number one movie at the box office, the Rams have picked up on the Mission Impossible theme:
