Nicole Arrato Named Academic All-Atlantic 10

Rower earns third academic honor

Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham University senior rower Nicole Arrato was one of ten women's rowers to be named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic team for 2015. The team was selected by a vote of the league's rowing media relations directors.
 
A senior Psychology major with a minor in Spanish from Oxford, Conn., Arrato earned her third academic honor of the year. She had previously been named Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District and a 2015 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar-Athlete, her second straight CRCA Scholar-Athlete award. She is a four-year member of the women's rowing team and a two-time selection to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic team. Arrato competed in the Rams' top boat all four years, including serving in the varsity 8 this season, grabbing bronze at the 2015 Kerr Cup and third in the petite final at the 2015 Dad Vails.
 
Arrato was the recipient of the Kieran Award at the 2015 Block F Dinner which is presented to the Fordham College senior athlete who has made significant academic and athletic contributions.  The award honors the memory of John Kieran, Fordham College Class of 1912, and a famous radio broadcaster, sports editor of the New York Times and a member of Baseball's Hall of Fame. She also was named recipent of an Atlantic 10 Postgraduate scholarship last month.
