As the official start of summer is right around the corner, a number of Fordham baseball players have already started summer ball action. Ten Fordham players are currently in action among seven different leagues.
Here's a quick update on where the Rams are as well as website links to follow the players this summer:
Charles Galiano –
Bourne Braves –
Cape Cod League
After being drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers, Galiano took a spot on the Bourne Braves roster of the Cape Cod League, beginning on June 14th. So far, the Rams' catcher has appeared in two games, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and has reached base in three of four plate appearances.
Matthew Kozuch –

Vermont Mountaineers -
NECBL Along with Galiano in the Cape Cod League is infielder
Matthew Kozuch, who earned a roster spot on the Wareham Gatemen. He has appeared in three games with his best performance being a 1-for-4 effort in a win over Bourne on June 12
th. As of June 16th, Kozuch has changed teams and will play for the Vermont Mountaineers of the NECBL.
Ben Greenberg –
Sanford Mariners –
NECBL
Greenberg, an Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team selection a month ago, has found his summer home as a starting pitcher for the Sanford Mariners of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL). He has been steady through his opening two starts, allowing just two earned runs over 11.2 innings of work for a 1.54 ERA and has seven strikeouts. In his first start against Keene, Greenberg tossed six shutout innings, allowing just two hits and striking out four.
Jason Lundy –
Freehold Clippers –
ABCCL
Lundy, the Rams' starting centerfielder in 2015, has gotten off to a great start for the Freehold Clippers of the Atlantic Baseball Confederation Collegiate League (ABCCL). In 11 games, he is batting .394 with four doubles, four runs scored, and six stolen bases. He also has a league-high 12 RBI thus far to go with a .500 on-base percentage.
Joseph Serrapica –

Along with Lundy in the ABCCL is pitcher
Joseph Serrapica, who is playing for the Ocean Giants. He has been one of the go-to arms for the Giants, leading the team in appearances (5), innings pitched (12.0), and strikeouts (19). He is 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA and one save.
Ian Edmiston –
Asheboro Copperheads –
CPL
Edmiston, the Rams' starting third baseman, has seen limited action with the Asheboro Copperheads of the Coastal Plain League (CPL), after a career year with Fordham, where he finished with career-highs in most offensive categories. This far, Edmiston has appeared in only six of the Copperheads' 18 games, making four starts.
Greg Weissert –
Thunder Bay Border Cats –
Northwoods League
After solidifying a spot in the Rams' starting rotation in 2015, Weissert is playing for the Thunder Bay Border Cats of the Northwoods League. He is off to an excellent start this summer, posting a 1.56 ERA in four appearances. Weissert has started three of his four appearances, posting a 1-1 record with 16 strikeouts over 17.1 innings pitched. In his most recent start, he earned a win over Eau Claire, allowing one run on one hit over six innings with seven strikeouts.

Thunder Bay Border Cats –
Northwoods League
Along with Weissert, Murphy will also be playing for the Thunder Bay Border Cats of the Northwoods League. He will join the team starting on July 1st.
Ryan Mahoney &
Shane McDonald –
North Fork Ospreys -

Juniors
Ryan Mahoney and
Shane McDonald are teammates for the North Fork Ospreys of the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League (HBCL). After serving as the Rams' primary designated hitter in 2015, Mahoney has filled in nicely with the Ospreys, hitting .263 over 12 games, posting a pair of doubles, a triple, and five runs scored. He is also tied for the team lead in RBI with seven. On the mound, McDonald has made one relief appearance for the Ospreys.

Looking to get back on track after an injury-plagued season with the Rams, Stampfl is scheduled to play for the Torrington Titans of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL).
