Academic All-District Teams (PDF) The 2014-15 Capital One Academic All-District® Baseball Team was released on Thursday, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Among the honorees in District I is Fordham sophomore infielder
Matthew Kozuch (Glen Rock, N.J.).
Capital One has been the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA's Academic All-America teams programs since 2011.
A Finance major with a 3.78 GPA, Kozuch is a two-year member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll. He has been Fordham's leading hitter all season long. He is currently batting a team-best .342, while also leading the squad in triples (3), slugging percentage (.493), walks (35), and on-base percentage (.476). He is also second on the squad with 10 doubles, two home runs, and 33 RBI.
First-team Academic All-District ® honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month and in early June.
