Patricia Vernon to be Inducted Into Ossining High School Athletic Hall of Fame

Rams' Women's Volleyball Assistant Coach Graduated From Ossining in 2005

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Fordham women's volleyball assistant coach Patricia Vernon will be inducted into the Ossining High School Athletic Hall of Fame Monday, June 1 at Colonial Terrace in Cortlandt, N.Y.

Vernon is a 2005 graduate of Ossining High School, where s was selected to All-Section and All-League New York teams over four years. She was named All-State and was ranked one of the top 25 players in New York during senior season. Vernon holds the Ossining High School record for most career kills.

Vernon moved on to Temple and constructed a stellar four-year career. She received a number of Atlantic 10 accolades, as she was selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference team three times (2006-08), the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team in 2005, and the Atlantic 10 All-Championship team in 2006. Vernon finished her career seventh at Temple in career block assists (249) while recording over 1,100 kills and 300 total blocks in her four-year career. She was also a part of three Atlantic 10 East Division titles from 2005-07.

The 2015 season will mark Vernon's fifth at Fordham.
