Men's Golf Finishes in Ninth Place at The Met Intercollegiate

PURCHASE, N.Y. -- The Fordham men's golf team competed Saturday in very windy conditions at The Met Intercollegiate, which was hosted by Yale at Century Country Club and Old Oaks Country Club. The Rams finished in ninth place on the par-71 course after shooting scores of 340 and 332 for a two-round total of 672. Temple won the event with a score of 616.

Senior Ben Alcorn was the top scorer for Fordham, as he shot a 166 (86-80). Freshman Joe Trim was next with a 169 (86-83), while senior Drew Dufresne finished one stroke behind with a 170 (91-79). Rounding out the scoring for the Rams was senior Jeff Hogan with a 174 (84-90) and freshman Matt Schiller with a 180 (84-96).

Fordham returns to action April 11-12 at Connecticut's Til Duty Is Done Collegiate Invitational. The 36-hole tournament will take place at The Mohegan Sun Golf Club in Baltic, Conn.
