First Round ResultsHARMONY, Fla. -- The Fordham men's golf team started play Friday at the Atlantic 10 Championships, which is being held at the par-72 Harmony Golf Preserve. The Rams shot a 19-over-par 307 and sit in 11th place to start the three-round event. Davidson was leading the field with a score of 2-under-par.
Senior
Ben Alcorn led Fordham with a 2-over-par 74, while freshman
Joe Trim shot a 4-over-par 76. Rounding out the scoring for the Rams was senior
Drew Dufresne with a 6-over-par 78 and sophomore
Oscar Cabanas with a 7-over-par 79.
Senior
Jeff Hogan finished with an 80 but his score did not count towards the team's overall total.
Alcorn birdied three holes, which all came in a three-of-four hole stretch on the back nine. Dufresne also finished with three birdies, while Trim collected a pair.
Fordham returns to action Saturday for the second round of the tournament.
