Eric Paschall was named Met Basketball Writers Association Co-Rookie of the Year it was announce today. Paschall, who shares the honor with Seton Hall's Angel Delgado, will receive his award tonight at the at the 82nd NIT/MBWA Haggerty Awards dinner at the Westchester Marriott.

Paschall is the fifth Ram to receive the Met Writers Rookie of the Year Award, joining Joe Paterno (1986), Bryant Dunston (2005), Chris Gaston (2010) and
Jon Severe, who won it last year.

The 2015 Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year, enjoyed one of the most successful freshman campaigns in school history, closing out the season averaging 15.9 ppg, tenth in the conference and tops among all Atlantic 10 freshman. He was also fourth in the NCAA Division I in freshman scoring and led the team with 45 three-pointers made. Paschall, who was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week twice in 2014-2015, opened his collegiate career with 31 points and ten rebounds against New York Tech, setting a Fordham record for most points by a freshman in his debut. He also averaged 5.5 rpg and had 21 steals and 12 blocks in 27 games and was sixth in the conference in free throw shooting percentage, hitting 79.4% (85-107) of his charity shots.
