First Round Results

BALTIC, Conn. -- The Fordham men's golf team sits in a sixth-place tie (out of 16) after Saturday's opening round of Connecticut's Til Duty Is Done Collegiate Invitational at the Mohegan Sun Golf Club. The Rams shot a 23-over-par 311 on the par-72 course and find themselves only four strokes out of second place. Hartford leads the field by 12 shots after shooting a 7-over-par 295.

Senior Ben Alcorn is currently in a fourth-place tie on the individual leaderboard (out of 89) after firing a 2-over-par 74. A trio of Rams all shot 7-over to round out the team scoring, as senior Jeff Hogan, freshman Joe Trim and sophomore Oscar Cabanas carded 79's. Senior Drew Dufresne also competed but his 8-over-par 80 did not count towards the overall team score.

Fordham concluded the tournament Sunday, with tee times slated from 9:50-10:30 a.m.
