Box Score Harrison, N.Y. (March 8, 2015) – The Fordham University men's tennis team returned to action today, taking on Saint Louis University at Life Time Athletics where the Rams fell to the Billikens, 6-1.
Fordham opened the match dropping the doubles point, losing both completed matches.
Joey Brander and
Joseph Kavaloski fell at third doubles to Saint Louis' Brandon Harris and Charlie Parry, 8-1, and
Pedro Alonzo and
Pol Giraldez were upended by Luis Miguel Flores and Paarth Dodhiawala, 8-2, at second doubles.
J.J. Tauil and
Max Peara did not finish at first doubles with Juan Calero and John Nogalski.
Giraldez picked up Fordham's point, taking third singles from Luis Miguel Flores. Giraldez took the first set, 6-4, but dropped the second, 6-1. However, Giraldez came back to win the third, 6-3.
Tauil took Calero to three sets at first singles, winning the first match, 6-1, but dropping the second, 6-2, and the third, 6-1.
The Rams return to action on Saturday, March 14, as they travel to New Haven, Connecticut, to face Sacred Heart University at 2:00 p.m.
