The Fordham track & field team wrapped up their stay at the Fred Hardy Invitational on Saturday, competing in eight more events.

The day was highlighted by a pair of second place finishes on the women's side. Â The first was by
Danielle Rowe, who took second in the 800 meter run in 2:13.42, followed by
Melissa Higgins in third (2:14.82) and
Merissa Wright in seventh (2:18.16).

The Rams also placed second in the 4x800 relay, where Higgins,
Mara Lieberman, Wright, and Rowe posted a time of 9:30.33. The Fordham men also had a strong run in the 4x800 relay, as
Daniel Green,
Thomas Slattery,
Lester Taylor, and
Ryan Polo took third in 7:53.64.

Fordham also had competitors in the women's 400 meter dash, women's 3,000 meter run, women's long jump, men's 800 meter run, and the men's discus throw.

The best finish in those events was
Stephanie Leo, who took 12
th in the women's 3,000 meter run in 10:44.99, while
Shea Williams was 16
th overall (10:58.00).Â
Kylie Farrell was 20
th overall in the 400 meter dash in 1:02.35 as well as 24
th in the long jump (4.69m).

On the men's side,
John Tannian finished 24
th overall in the 800 meters (2:01.69), followed by
Peter Strom in 30
th (2:04.15), while
Austin Ruiz (37.15m) and
Pat McGuire (34.13m) were 17
th and 25
th, respectively in the discus throw.

The Fordham track & field team will next be in action on April 4-5, as they compete in the Colonials Relays in Williamsburg, Va.
