Box Score Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University women's tennis squad returned from its spring trip to Florida but kept the momentum going that it gained down south, defeating FDU, 4-0, on the Hawthorn-Rooney Courts, the Ram's third straight win.
The Rams took the doubles point to open the match, as
Bella Genkina and
Anika Novacek took third doubles by default and
Elliesa Ball and
Sarah Ali teamed up to take first doubles from FDU's Gisela Castany and Mariya Krachok, 8-7 (5).
Julie Leong and
Estelle Wong fell to Alex Bryant and Shreya Pasricha at second doubles, 8-5.
The Rams won with three singles wins by default over the short-handed FDU squad. The other singles matches were not completed due to the weather.
Fordham, 7-3 on the year, returns to action on Thursday, March 26, as the Rams host Marist at 12:00 p.m. on the Hawthorn-Rooney Courts.
